Things to Keep in Mind
- Turn Around Times: Equal to DTG but definately faster than screen printing.
- Print Feel: Large solid prints might feel a bit stiff compared to DTG’s soft touch. Tip: Break up the design some with shirt is showing through and the print will be much softer.
- Breathability: Big solid designs can make the garment less breathable.
- Longevity: GFX prints are built to last, resisting fading, cracking, and peeling with proper care. Good for 30-50 washes but likely much more. Brightness seems to last last longer than DTG but the tried and true screen printing still has it beat.
When to Use GFXGFX is your go-to for detailed, colorful designs on synthetics and unique items like bags and hats. It’s all about vibrant, durable prints. Care Tips
- Wash inside out in cold water.
- Iron inside out and avoid hot water.
GFX vs Others
- Screenprinting: Ideal for bulk orders and simple designs. GFX shines with colorful, detailed prints on small runs.
- DTG Printing: Offers a softer, vintage feel. GFX delivers more vivid and lasting colors especially on darks. DTG looks best and the softness on whites is unbeatable.
